Best Smoothie Makers And Blenders For Crushing Ice

Last year, I joined the train of healthy eaters, and I began to drink healthy smoothies. Then, it got to the point where I found that I must make my smoothies if I want to keep up and be 100% healthy. I realized that these juices we buy that are supposed to be ready-made are mostly flavored or laboratory-made and chemically preserved. I began to look for the best smoothie makers in the market. Well, one thing you should know is that these five, as well as the other 203 blenders and smoothie makers in my garage, are tested through the same process which we will consider in this post.

What is the best smoothie maker?

Nutri Ninja Fresh Vac CT661V Countertop

ninja smoothie blender

When I saw Nutri Ninja blender came up with blenders that have a vacuum, I scoffed and told people that it might all just be shenanigans and useless techy junk. However, I was interested because they claimed that the extra oxygen in our smoothie ingredients makes it come out bubbly and thus lose some nutrients and taste to the air. I just told my friends, “Guys, we gotta try this.” We went up and bought it along with the others we had stacked up for reviews.

First stop, what got me awed was the smart touchscreen technology that it comes with to blend technology and smartness with kitchenware.

The CT661V Countertop comes with three different cups for different purposes. The base machine is built to digitally identify which cup you place on it so that it can adjust its power automatically to fit that cup.

Out of the box, we get everything already set up. The countertop blender, the vacuum pump, the big jug, and the other two smoothie cups. It also comes with a manual, a smoothie recipe book and other stuff.

Why this is our number one is the fact that we can use it to make delicious smoothies as much as you want as fast as you want and you can keep the drink for as long as you want. We tested the vacuum on the same smoothie in the two cups. We saw that Nutri Ninja’s claims are correct and accurate. The smoothie that we vacuumed tasted better than the one we blended right off. Also, when both juices were kept in the freezer, the vacuumed smoothie had lost nothing whereas, the other changed color and taste.

-Very loud

-Doesn’t come with a cord for the vacuum

-They are strong and versatile

-Made out of BPA plastic

-FreshVac Technology

-Screen touch tech

-Power 1400 watts

-Seven automatic programs

Blendtec Classic 575 Smoothie Maker

Blendtec Classic 575 Smoothie Maker

Our second on this list can contend with any smoothie maker anywhere in the world. Designed with a perfect blend of top-notch functions, style, and looks, the Blendtec Classic 575 is technologically advanced, versatile, rugged, easy-to-operate, easy to clean and super-efficient.

You would enjoy the feel of the button controls on the Blendtec Classic 575. My favorite feature on the Blendtec which made it the second sweet sight on my kitchen counter is the fact that it has four pre-programmed cycles for ice cream, smoothie, hot soup, and whole juice. This means that you can program it to make you fresh smoothie at 9 am while you work in the garage. You just put in the ingredients and leave, and it starts to work at 9 am, and you only come for your smoothie.

The Blendtec 575 can chop, puree, grind, mix, & also make bread dough (that’s what they say. I’ve never tried bread dough in it though).

One more reason why I recommend the Blendtec 575 smoothie blender is that it comes with an 8-year warranty. Like our number one, it comes with a recipe book and is designed (I almost forgot to add that) with a touchpad interface for easy control among other things.

It is super easy to clean with a dishwasher or by itself. There is a cleaning button on the blender that washes it from inside. I only wipe and store my clean blender after it removes itself.

It’s a cool blender to own.

Cuisinart Hurricane Smoothie Maker

Cuisinart CBT-1500 Hurricane Blender

All of the blenders we tested worked for why we got them at least, but we needed something more than just blending fruits and vegetables, and that’s why we are looking at more, and the Cuisinart Hurricane Smoothie Maker gave us just more, doing an excellent job at not only blending fruits and making soups. We all hate to drink a “rough” smoothie. The blades of the Cuisinart Hurricane are durable and steel. They crush, cut and smoothens even for crushing ice.

The Cuisinart Hurricane also came with pre-programmed features and flat buttons that make essential functions easy to find.

As small as it is, the Cuisinart Hurricane packs a lot of power in the machine at 1500 watts. Even at 1500 watts, the Hurricane did a pretty good job at blending frozen fruits than some other blenders we looked at. Most mixers have hesitation with ice, but the Cuisinart was too powerful to be stopped by ice, and the team loves the Hurricane because.

However, the Hurricane has a few chunks of ice when it came out. It is still perfect for daiquiris and margaritas. Even though it’s not perfect, it is better than most. With preset buttons for programming the Hurricane to make smoothies, crushing ice and soup, the Hurricane comes with a dial that has ten-speed levels for different blending tasks like making baby food, nut butter, and whipped cream.

-It comes in a single pitcher that cannot be used to serve

-Cannot make perfectly pulverized ice

-Easy to use and clean

-Preprogramming for smoothies

-Can be used to make soup

Nutri Bullet RX

Nutri Bullet RX

This powerful blender transcends all others when it comes to strength and efficiency. If you are searching for a machine that provides convenience and ease of use over technology and nerdy stuff, go for this. What the Cuisinart Hurricane lacks in strength, this Nutri Bullet RX gives. If you want your smoothie smooth without the blades getting stuck, Choose the Nutri Bullet RX.

First stop, like the Hurricane, the Nutribullet RX has a heating function for soups and sauces. It delivers soup hot, cooked and blended. The only edge the Nutri Bullet has on the Hurrican is that the Hurrican is not that hot.

The Nutri Bullet RX has a super-high power of 1700 watts. This is a huge plus compared to the others.

The Nutri Bullet is very easy to use. We like the one-touch button, hands-off blending feature of the Nutri Bullet. It is effortless and easy also to clean up.

One thing that the Nutribullet RX has that’s a turn off is that it lacks the popular pulse feature. To me, it’s not a big deal, but almost everyone except Alexia went all yadda about it. (Don’t tell them I said this, they might not let me write the next post)

Aside from that, I don’t like the noise that comes out of the RX engine. Some of us think it is due to the power.

Yes, I must not forget that it leaks. Although they requested I put this under the cons and not capitalize it because it has to leak, I don’t want you to freak out when you see the little drip on your kitchen counter

Gasket ring could come loose

No pulse feature

Powerful and versatile

Easy to use

Easy to clean

Ready to serve cup

Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender

Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender

Well, almost every page I found the Vitamix Pro 750. Many think it is the best in the market. However, my team never rates products based on people’s thoughts. We take in the product and test by ourselves in different situations to make sure.

The Vitamix 750 Pro Smoothie Maker makes smoothies quickly and effortlessly, it can handle hot soups, and in a matter of seconds, make a sweet puree. When it comes to whipping up frozen ingredients or crushing ice, the Vitamix 750 beats the Nutri Bullet RX.

Made with a full jar, it is easy to throw in ingredients without bothering to slice.

The Vitamix 750 Pro Smoothie Maker works like a commercial blender. With 2.2 HP, the machine is mighty and efficient.

We don’t think that the makers of the Vitamix Pro 750 designed it for household use because the large jar doesn’t work well to blend small quantity of ingredients perhaps because of the broader base.

It is not also dishwasher safe. This is a big deal even though the Vitamix 750 pro comes with a preset cleaning function.

-Not dishwasher safe

-Cannot blend a small quantity

-Strong and powerful

-Looks aesthetic and beautiful

-Has good features

-Can make good soup and puree

What is the difference between a smoothie maker and a blender?

If you are setting up your kitchen or you know someone who probably is, you are thinking of buying either a smoothie maker or blender. Smoothie makers can crush ice properly without stress or making noise, It can also liquefy fruit instead of breaking it to small pieces like blenders, you will need to add little liquid to blenders in other to do this, all this and many functions are what we discuss below and the benefits of choosing between a smoothie maker or a normal blenders.

Here we look at the differences between these two kitchen appliances so that you would be well informed before you buy one.

What Do You Need?

When you understand why you are thinking of buying either, the controversy about getting a smoothie maker or blender is easy to solve. You must look at your budget and the available space in your kitchen.

We all need a machine to crush, grind, and pulverize the food items into powder, juice or a smooth paste. Both a blender and a smoothie maker can do that. However, many tiny details distinguish one from the other. The primary difference between them is that a smoothie maker is specially designed for making smoothies or soup, while a blender can be used to make many other things besides a smoothie.

Fruits Juicing

A smoothie maker is specially designed to make smoothies or blend the soup. So, if you need something for fruits blending, don’t let the beauty of blenders fool you. A smoothie maker is what you would need. Even then, most smoothie makers like the ones on our list are made of and for more than just making smoothies. They outperform many blenders out there, and they can even blend and cook your soup.

Design and Functionality

Blenders are generally bigger in volume than most smoothie makers. Most mixers have a large pitcher on top where all the ingredients to be blended are put in and blended. However, many smoothie makers have a bigger size like our top Nutri Ninja Fresh Vac and Vitamix.

Quality Concerns

A real chef or a person with the title of The Highest Kitchen Personnel (this title is conferred on me by my mother and acknowledged by my girlfriend) would understand the need to have two separate appliances for blending in the kitchen. Yes, I have the Nutri Ninja Fresh Vac in my kitchen and also the Vitamix 5200. A blender has the capacity of turning and churning all the ingredients you put in till they are ground and will only be mixed. However, it will not give you the exact smooth texture that a smoothie maker will.

A smoothie maker will crush everything that comes in it down to the grains or little seeds.

Your choice depends upon your basic need for the product. Honestly, it is only wise to own the two separate appliances as it prevents the mixing of different odors and bringing about the much-needed finesse to the quality of food. This post will soon be accompanied by the best blenders in the market right now as we are working on mixers too.

Whichever you choose, we hope you enjoy eating healthy like me. We would love to hear from you. Share your favorite, blender or smoothie maker. Bon appetit!
